We're Liesl Clark and Rebecca Rockefeller, co-founders of the Buy Nothing Project and now authors of The Buy Nothing, Get Everything Plan. 

We've been friends for over 12 years now, and in that time we've inventoried a lot of plastic pollution from local beaches and watersheds, dug through a lot of dumpsters and waste baskets to learn lessons from our community's trash, spent countless hours talking about how to change the world, and sparked the creation of an international network of local gift economy groups. 

We distilled the lessons we've learned from all of this and put them into our first book. We can't wait to share that with all of you, and look forward to working through our 7-step Action Plan together in our community forum here.
